We are excited to announce that our CEO and Founder Dr. Chris Chmura will speak in Detroit on November 6, 2019! In collaboration with the Detroit Regional Partnership, Chmura Economics & Analytics will host a luncheon on “Fueling the Talent Pipeline for the Greater Detroit Economy,” where Dr. Chmura will present her analysis and insights on the regional economy--including a review of recession signals.

Dr. Chmura’s presentation will explore possibilities for diversifying the Greater Detroit economy based on its underlying strengths; possibilities engendered by the region’s legacy of industrial innovation, its skilled workforce, intellectual capital, and other assets. Effectively realizing these possibilities requires a concerted effort by stakeholders to develop, attract, and retain the right mix of talent to fuel and sustain economic advancement. Her presentation will draw upon and synthesize findings from Chmura’s own economic models, traditional and real-time labor market data from JobsEQ, and Chmura’s consulting expertise serving economic developers, site selectors, workforce boards, education institutions, corporations, and community-based organizations for the past 20 years.

The Foundation Hotel is adjacent to Cobo Center separated by Washington Boulevard in downtown Detroit.
